Artist statement: I am a multidisciplinary artist, researcher and performer.

My personal practice centres on self portraiture in the expanded field and methodologies around performative theory and communication.

I make self-portraits as an access tool, a way of seeing and becoming in a society where I have struggled to see myself reflected. They are a site to explore and perform, embody and enchant my self expression, process my experiences and engage in social discourse around transformation.

I conjure cognitive spaces and investigate the symbolic life, the subconscious, esoteric and imagined as a way of channeling and establishing archetypes, primordial lineages. Exploring social reproduction and theories of chimerisation within myth, philosophy, self and society. In a conversation with identity, metaphor and paradox I use and present an emotional materiality through symbolic texts, set design, costuming, make-up, film, photography, collage and large scale works.

I know this research to be transformative and affirming through performing transgressive methodologies of deconstruction and reorganisation of material in the physical to process the intra-psychic experience in the collective and the individual.

I have recently completed a Masters in Fine Art at ESADHaR (France) and The Margate School (UK).
